About the role
This post is at Providere Academy, incorporating Annabelle Pre-School, for the 2027 academic year. We are looking for a Head of Department to lead curriculum planning and mentor teachers. Minimum requirements: • A recognised degree in Education or an equivalent relevant qualification • A recognised teaching qualification • At least five (5) years of teaching experience • Previous departmental leadership or coordination experience will be an advantage • Knowledge of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum is essential, or must be shown through relevant training and experience • Strong curriculum planning, assessment and instructional leadership skills • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills • Ability to mentor teachers, monitor learner progress and promote academic excellence • Strong classroom management and professional conduct • Commitment to child safeguarding and continuous professional development
